Our Faith

Elmhurst Christian Gospel Church is an independent and Evangelical church. Our Evangelical faith is based on the Bible, focuses on evangelism and believers ’spiritual life cultivation.

1. 1. We believe in the Trinity, the One True God, the Almighty Father, the Lord who created heaven and earth, and the Lord who created tangible and intangible things.
   2. We believe that the only Savior, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the true God, was born for the Father before the world, the true God from the true God, the light from the light, is born, not created, and one with the Father, Everything was created by the Son.
   3. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third of the Triune True God and the source of life. The one who comes out of the Father and Son is worshipped and honored with the Father and the Son. He lives in the believers for guidance, comfort, and blessings.
   4. We believe that the Bible is the inspiration of God and that it reveals truth to people, is an absolute authority, an absolute unmistakable and complete revelation, and the only standard of believers’ lives.
   5. We believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of rebellion, the spirit, soul, and body all face the curse of death. The world is in sin and away from God. Only the redemption of the Lord Jesus has eternal life. Those who do not repent or refuse salvation face the righteous judgment of God, but believers have eternal life.
   6. We believe that redemption is accomplished by Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross as the sin of all mankind, and whoever trusts in Him is cleansed by His blood. The Lord Jesus died for man and was resurrected on the third day. He now sits on the right side of the throne of God, and comes one day to establish a righteous and eternal kingdom.
   7. We believe in holiness. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, believers lead a sanctified life that obey God’s will.
   8. We believe that a holy and catholic Church is Christ established on the earth for redeemed believers; Christ is the head of the church, through which the Gospel is spreaded throughout the world as a witness to the world.
   9. We believe in the fellowship of saints, believers worship together in the church, pray, fellowship, participate in ministry, and observe baptism and sacrament.
   10. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the believer is resurrected to enjoy eternal life, and the unbelieving resurrection is convicted and permanently punished.
   11. We believe that the Second Coming of the Lord is imminent, the church is raptured and there is a great disaster on the earth, and then Christ returns to establish the millennial kingdom on the earth. This is the eternal blessed hope of all believers and those who serve Him.
